THE OLD TESTAMENT WITNESS

Scripture Speaks of What Is Beneath.

The Bible does not present the unseen realm of death and judgment as human imagination. Long before the New Testament spoke of “things under the earth,” the Old Testament repeatedly used the words beneath, lowest hell, the pit, and the nether parts of the earth. The language is deliberate: there is a realm associated with the dead and divine judgment below.

“Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming…”

“For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell…”

DEUTERONOMY 32:22 · KJV

“…when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit… in the nether parts of the earth.”

“But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.”

PSALM 63:9 · KJV

The Bible’s testimony is consistent: death does not end existence, and judgment is not an empty threat.

EPHESIANS 5:11

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

01 · DEATH

Death Is Certain.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

Death is not the end of accountability. Judgment follows.

02 · SPIRITS

Test the Spirits.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.”

03 · JUDGMENT

Hell Is Real.

“And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

The Books Will Be Opened.

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened.”
