IS HINDUISM COMPATIBLEWITH BIBLICAL TRUTH?
Hinduism is a vast family of traditions rather than one simple creed, and many Hindus are devoted, moral, and spiritually serious. Nevertheless, Hindu views of ultimate reality, many deities, avatars, karma, reincarnation, and multiple paths cannot be harmonized with the biblical revelation of one personal Creator, one human life, one incarnate Son, and salvation through Christ alone.

Hindu traditions range from devotion to Vishnu, Shiva, or the goddess, to philosophical schools focused on Brahman, self, yoga, or nondual realization. Practices differ by region, family, and teacher.
A respectful response asks what the person believes instead of assuming every Hindu worships the same deities or understands them identically.
Scripture does not present the gods of nations as culturally useful faces of the one divine essence. It commands exclusive worship of the Lord who created all things and distinguishes the Creator from creation.
Calling every deity a manifestation of ultimate reality changes the biblical meaning of idolatry and makes contradictory revelations equally true.
The incarnation is a unique historical act: the eternal Word became flesh, died once for sins, and rose bodily. Jesus is not one recurring descent of deity within an endless cosmic cycle.
To place Christ beside Krishna or another avatar may sound honoring, but it denies His exclusive identity and final saving work.
Hindu traditions often explain present conditions through actions in previous lives and seek release from rebirth. Scripture teaches one life, resurrection, and judgment.
Grace means that guilt can be forgiven through Christ, not gradually balanced through unknown former lives. It also warns against using karma to explain suffering as deserved by the victim.
Some Hindu philosophies identify the deepest self with ultimate reality or teach liberation through realizing nonduality. The Bible distinguishes God from every creature while affirming that humans bear His image.
Salvation is not discovering that one is divine. It is being reconciled to God, adopted by grace, and transformed while remaining His creature.
Hindu worship can involve sacrifice, prayer, pilgrimage, family loyalty, and sincere devotion. Sincerity deserves respect but cannot make mutually exclusive claims true.
A person may be deeply religious and still need the gospel, as all sinners do. Christianity is not Western ethnicity; Christ claims people from every nation.
Christians can honor Indian culture, language, family customs, clothing, food, and art without participating in worship offered to other gods.
Wisdom is needed at weddings, funerals, festivals, and household ceremonies. Love may attend family events while declining acts that communicate prayer, sacrifice, or dependence upon another deity.
Why is Hinduism not compatible with biblical truth?
Hinduism is diverse and must be represented fairly.
The Bible separates the one Creator from all creation.
Jesus is the unique incarnation, not one avatar among many.
Karma and reincarnation differ from grace, resurrection, and judgment.
Humans bear God’s image but are not divine in essence.
Sincerity and devotion do not make contradictions true.
Culture can be respected without joining idolatrous worship.
Listen carefully to a Hindu friend’s actual beliefs. Present Christ as the eternal Creator who entered history once, bore sin, and rose bodily. Refuse contempt for culture and refuse the claim that Jesus is merely one more divine path. Show through your life that exclusive faith in Christ can be joined with genuine neighbor-love.
