WHY DO I NEED SALVATION?

THE BIBLICAL ANSWER

You need salvation because you are a sinner before a holy God. Sin separates you from God, brings guilt and judgment, and cannot be removed by your own effort. God offers forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ.

PRIMARY PASSAGE
YOU HAVE SINNED

Salvation is necessary because every person has sinned. Sin is not only a mistake, weakness, or bad habit. It is rebellion against God. It includes what we do, what we say, what we think, and the way we fail to honour God as He deserves.

NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS ON HIS OWN
SIN SEPARATES YOU FROM GOD

God is holy, pure, and righteous. Sin creates a real separation between man and God. The problem is not that God has moved away from us. Our sin has placed us under guilt before Him and made us unable to stand before Him by our own righteousness.

Sin is serious because it has consequences. The Bible teaches that the wages of sin is death. This includes physical death, spiritual separation from God, and the certainty that every person will one day stand before God.

Many people hope that good works, religion, baptism, church attendance, generosity, or trying harder will make them right with God. Good works are important, but they cannot erase sin or make a guilty sinner righteous before a holy God.

The reason salvation is possible is that God did not leave sinners without hope. He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for sin and rise again. Christ did what no sinner could do: He paid the price of sin and made forgiveness available.

Salvation is not something to delay until life becomes easier or death feels closer. God calls people to respond while they hear the gospel. The present moment is an opportunity to turn to Christ in repentance and faith.

You need forgiveness. Sin brings real guilt before God, and only Christ can forgive it.
You need righteousness. No one is righteous enough on his own to stand before God.
You need rescue from judgment. Sin brings death and judgment, but Christ gives eternal life.
You need to respond to Christ. God offers salvation freely, but He calls you to repent and believe now.
