WHAT IS MY NEW LIFE IN CHRIST?

The Christian life is not simply self-improvement with religious words added. The believer’s life is now connected to Christ. You are not your own saviour, authority, or purpose. The Lord Jesus Christ loved you, gave Himself for you, and now calls you to live by faith in Him.

Walk in newness of life. The believer should not treat salvation as a small addition to the old life. Christ died, was buried, and rose again. The believer is called to walk in newness of life, showing by daily obedience that he now belongs to the risen Saviour.

Your life should now move in a new direction. New life in Christ does not mean you become mature instantly in the flesh. It means God has changed your standing and begun a real work in your walk. The direction of your life should now be away from the old life and toward the Lord.

Put off the old man and put on the new. The Bible does not tell the believer to make peace with the old life. It tells him to put off the former conversation and put on the new man. This change begins in the mind and shows in the walk.

Seek the things above. A saved person still lives in this world, but his heart should not be ruled by this world. The believer’s life is hid with Christ in God. That truth should affect what you love, pursue, think about, and live for.

Grace teaches you how to live. Grace does not teach the believer to continue carelessly in sin. The grace of God brings salvation and teaches believers to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts. New life in Christ should be sober, righteous, and godly.

Let God renew your mind. The world tries to shape your thinking. Scripture renews your mind. A believer should not be conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of the mind so he may prove what is the will of God.

Let every part of life belong to the Lord. The new life in Christ is not only for church services. It should affect words, work, family, friendships, decisions, habits, and attitude. The believer should learn to do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Live for the glory of God. A Biblical Christian does not divide life into “God’s part” and “my part.” Even ordinary things should be done with a heart that seeks to please and glorify God. Your life has a new purpose because you belong to Christ.

Your life should point others to God. A changed life does not replace the Gospel message, but it should support your testimony. People should see a difference in your direction, speech, choices, humility, and desire to please God.

Your hope is in the coming Saviour. The Christian life is not only about surviving the present world. The believer’s conversation is in heaven, and he looks for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. This hope should keep your heart sober, faithful, and ready.

What is my new life in Christ? The Bible gives a clear answer. New life is not self-made religion. It is life in Christ, under Scripture, growing in grace, walking in holiness, serving God, and looking for the Lord.
